Goodnow, Senior Center Closing In Sudbury Due to Coronavirus
The library will remain open through the weekend. Both closures will last until nearly the end of March.

SUDBURY, MA — Both the Goodnow Library and the Sudbury Senior Center will close for about two weeks due to coronavirus, officials announced on Friday.
The senior center closure will last until March 27 and is an important step to keep senior citizens safe from COVID-19. The virus is believed to be deadlier to older people.
"Staying home and away from crowds during this 2-week period will help to reduce your risk of both catching and spreading the virus," the town said in a statement. "Most people who get the virus will be mild to moderately sick, but those who are older, or who have chronic illnesses and reduced immune systems, are at higher risk of being more seriously affected."

The town will evaluate whether to continue the senior center closure on March 25.
The Goodnow Library will be open on Saturday and Sunday. The drop box will also be available during the closure until March 29 with one caveat: anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should keep their library materials. The library will not charge fines in that instance.
