The Wayside Inn Announces Temporary Closure for Kitchen Upgrade
Temporary Closure Planned for Kitchen Ventilation Upgrade in March 2020

Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, including all restaurant, bar, lodging, and hospitality operations, will be closed to the public from Monday, March 2nd through Friday, March 20th to enable the installation of a new, efficient, hood ventilation system in its kitchen. Additionally, the remainder of the property is currently operating on a winter schedule with the Grist Mill, Redstone Schoolhouse, and many portions of the 100+ acre property closed for the season. The Wayside Inn Foundation Board of Trustees and staff apologize in advance for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause for our customers and visitors.
“It’s difficult for us to close the inn at any time, but this is a big and necessary project to make our kitchen venting more efficient,” said Innkeeper Steve Pickford. “With this scope of project requiring complete closure, we picked a time of year when our business is typically slower to minimize inconvenience to our loyal customers and staff. Once completed, we will promptly reopen for our busy spring and Easter season, and continue to offer our customers the quality food and hospitality they love.”
To make the most use of its closure during this period, a private filming will be taking place at various locations on the property, including in the inn. On or about March 21st the inn will re-open barring any project delays. Please visit www.wayside.org or follow us on Facebook for more information and updates.
