Woofstock Draws Thousands to Annual Buddy Dog Event
The event raises awareness for the Sudbury shelter.

It was another barking good time, according to organizers, who say that roughly (“ruffly?”) 2,000 visitors came through the gate to Woofstock 2015 at the Hudson Elks Club.
The event is Buddy Dog Humane Society’s annual, and brings together vendors, animal rescue organizations, vet hospitals, dog walkers and many others.

Pets got massages, nail trims and photos, and Angela Nickerson of Especially for Pets hosted agility demonstrations, welcoming folks to let their dogs run through the equipment.
The adoptable pet parade featured Lanie, the terrier mix who found a home through last year’s parade. Secret Evil also plays music throughout the event.

“The final figures are not in yet, but the money raised will help the shelter care for the more than 1000 dogs and cats that will enter their adoption program,” said Event Coordinator Erin Stelmach. “Plans are already on the work and a date will be announced soon for next year’s Woofstock.”
