3 From North Shore Arrested On Heroin Trafficking Charges: Police
Police said they found 2.5 kilos of heroin after pulling the car over for speeding and swerving.

STURBRIDGE, MA — Three people from Lynn were arrested on heroin trafficking charges after being pulled over for speeding on the interstate in Western Mass. early Thursday morning.
State Police said they pulled over a Honda CRV on I-94 East after a trooper saw it speeding and drifting over lane markings. The driver and two occupants could not confirm they knew who the car belonged to, police said.
A K-9 unit arrived and found 2.5 kilograms of what is believed to be heroin and about $850 in cash, according to police.

The driver, Juan Jaquez, 27, and his passengers, Yanet Lopez Mendoza, 38, and Daniel Rivera-Rosario, 49, were arrested on charges of trafficking in heroin. Jaquez was also cited for speeding and marked lanes violation.
All three were arraigned in Dudley District Court Thursday morning.
