She's also eyeing future improvements, from better use of space to potential woodworking areas and outdoor patio options, all aimed at serving local seniors more effectively.
• S.U.R.E. – Tell Us Your Story: Irma Zarinsky (swampscotttides.org) — Swampscott residents are being invited to share their family heritage stories through the S.U.R.E. Diversity "Tell Us Your Story" series, now running regularly in the Swampscott Tides and archived at the public library. The latest vignette, by Dr. Irma Zarinsky, traces her Jewish family's journey from Russia to Massachusetts and highlights themes of family, faith, and education.
• Swampscott Native Turns Love of Baseball Into Documentary on Banana Ball Player (swampscotttides.org) — A Swampscott native and Swampscott High School graduate, Brendan Norton, has turned his lifelong love of baseball into a documentary about Banana Ball player Jonathan "Sunshine" Luders. The film grew from Norton's early media experiences in town to his studies at Savannah College of Art and Design, and now he's interning in North Carolina while dreaming of more baseball-centered storytelling.
