My Brother's Table 40th Walk

My Brother’s Table Soup Kitchen (MBT), located in Lynn, MA, will hold its 40th Annual Walk virtually from October 24 - November 14. The virtual Walk encourages participants to choose their own distance, route, and day to safely raise money to feed their neighbors.

Since 1982, MBT, the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore, has served over 5.2 million free, hot meals to men, women, and children in need. Our community has made strides against the pandemic, but hunger persists. A year and a half into the pandemic, the Table remains open for to-go meals only. The number of meals served has settled below the high of 127,000 in February to about 75,000 a month which is 400% higher than pre-pandemic levels. Without interruption, MBT continues its mission to nourish neighbors everyday through hospitality, free meals, and unconditional love. MBT remains independent of federal funding to ensure the privacy of guests and to serve the greatest number of people in need. Funding comes from individual donations, events, and private grants.
