• Swampscott Opens 2027 Poet Laureate Submission Process (patch.com) — Swampscott residents with a passion for poetry now have a chance to apply for the town's 2027–28 Poet Laureate position, which includes leading community programs that boost interest in poetry locally. Applicants must be 21 or older, live in Swampscott for the full term, and submit three original poems by Sept. 25, 2026, either by email or to the Swampscott Public Library.
