ReachArts Swampscott “Garden Art Walk” Taking Place July 10, 2022

2nd Annual town-wide outdoor community event features a walking tour of Swampscott gardens, artwork, artist demos and family activities

Following last year’s successful debut of this outdoor community event, ReachArts is once again offering the opportunity to reconnect with art, nature and neighbors. The “Garden Art Walk” will take place on Sunday, July 10, 2022 (raindate Sunday, July 17) from 11am – 3pm and showcase artists along with gardens of all shapes and sizes throughout Swampscott.

The Garden Art Walk will feature 30 garden locations, with 17 of those locations also featuring various local Artists. Artists will be displaying and selling everything from paintings, hand-made beauty products, pottery and bags. And some artists will be providing music and poetry performances.

Children’s activities, a bee-keeping demonstration and other craft activities will also be part of the community-centered, family-friendly event.

Other local Swampscott organizations such as Seaside Cooperative, SURE and Swampscott Conservancy will be participating. The Police and Fire station are having their friendly competition again where the public can vote who has the best flower display.

Home Depot, a major sponsor of the event has generously donated a Nexgrill Gas Grill that will be raffled off to event attendees. Raffle tickets will be available at the ReachArts location 89 Burrill Street during the event.

This is a free community event, so there are no tickets to collect, but there will be donation jars for ReachArts at the locations where the maps are handed out

A big portion of the community came out last year to spend a few hours enjoying the beauty of Swampscott and the festival atmosphere. The Garden Art Walk will once again be about sharing art, gardens, stories, and friendships. It can be enjoyed in many ways, whether you stroll to activities in a new part of town or reconnect with neighbors right around the corner. All are welcome!
