Swampscott Stop & Shop Coin Machine Fraud Suspect Sought: Police

Police said the man presented several fraudulent receipts to the store for reimbursement in recent days.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott police are seeking to identify a man accused of presenting fraudulent COINSTAR receipts to the Stop & Shop for reimbursement in recent days.

Police said the man, who appears to be in his 60s, was described as a white male, bald with a mustache and gray hair on the sides of his head. Video surveillance showed him wearing glasses and wearing a light blue jean buttoned-down coat, a red and white checkered button-down collared shirt and light-colored pants.

He had a short appearance in the video with a small build.

The latest attempt to cash false receipts occurred on Wednesday.
