Bruins' Shawn Thornton, Dropkick Murphys in Tewksbury on Saturday
Charity hockey game at Breakaway Ice Center to benefit the Claddagh Fund.
Boston Bruins past and present, along with the rowdy Dropkick Murphys, will be on hand Saturday night at the ., for a charity hockey game.
The event, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will benefit the Claddagh Fund, a charity foundation set up by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys back in 2009.

"Honoring the three attributes of the Claddagh Ring, friendship, love and loyalty, the mission of the Claddagh Fund is to raise money for the most underfunded non-profit organizations that support vulnerable populations in our communities."
Dave Hughes, , sits on the Board of Trustees for the Claddagh Fund.

"Since Ken Casey started the fund, it's raised over $1 million," said Beth Murch, a Claddagh Fund volunteer and one of game's organizers. Murch works for Basement Systems of Plaistow, NH, which is sponsoring the event.
Teams from Basement Systems and Foundation Supportworks will square off in the hockey game. On each team's roster will bolstered members of the Boston Bruins alumni, including Rick Middleton, Terry O'Reilly, Jay Miller, Bob Sweeney and Lyndon Byers.
Casey and former World Champion boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward, will serve as guest coaches.
Current Bruin Shawn Thorton will also be on hand for the event, meeting fans and signing autographs.
NECN meteorologist Nelly Carreno will also make an appearance.
Following the game, which should end around 8:30 p.m., there will be a post-game party.
Tickets to event are $25 per person, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Claddagh Fund. Ticket price includes:
- Admission to the game and party
- Free family skate on the adjacent rink (children must wear helmets)
- Free food (catered by and Wicked Twisted Grille of Nashua)
- Free autographs
There will also be a cash bar, silent auction and raffles.
