CareWell Urgent Care President & CEO Elected to UCAOA Board of Directors
Urgent Care Association of America elects Shaun Ginter for three year term

CareWell Urgent Care today announced that president and chief executive officer, Shaun Ginter, has been elected to the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) board of directors. Effective April 20, Ginter will lend his expertise gained from working in the urgent care industry for more than a decade to assist the association in strategically looking forward, incorporating advanced technology and increasing consumer awareness of the vital role urgent care plays in today’s crowded healthcare space.
“I am honored to join the UCAOA board of directors,” said Ginter. “As the role of urgent care continues to grow and gain recognition nationwide, UCAOA has become a pillar for education, advocacy and promoting standards of excellence. I look forward to working with fellow directors to help broadcast and enhance the value of urgent care and to represent all models and types of urgent care centers as well as the companies who provide goods and services.”
Ginter is a seasoned leader in the healthcare services industry. As president and CEO, Ginter has harnessed his operational expertise to propel CareWell forward as a leading provider of on-demand, high quality and affordable neighborhood healthcare in New England. CareWell operates 15 UCAOA accredited centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with five additional centers planned by year-end. In addition to Ginter’s UCAOA board seat, he is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and currently holds positions on the board for Urgent Care Centers of New England, Inc., Urgent Care Assurance Company and Northeast Regional Urgent Care Association. Ginter received his BSBA and MBA from the University of Phoenix in Woodland Hills, California.
UCAOA announced changes to its board at the close of its 2016 Spring National Urgent Care Convention, which ran from April 17-20 in Orlando, Florida. Ginter’s term will run through Spring 2019.
