Former Tewksbury Wrestling Champ Broc Dokos' Assault Trial Delayed: Report

The Tewksbury High graduate is accused of assaulting a victim at a party back in July.

TEWKSBURY, MA — The trial for former Tewksbury Memorial High School wrestling champion Broc Dokos has been delayed, reports the Lowell Sun. According to the Sun's report, a last-minute change in defense attorneys has prompted the delay of the case.

On Monday, Judge Ellen Caulo granted a request that a status hearing would be held Feb. 3, where a new trial date will be set, according to the report. The Division 2 State Wrestling Champion, 18, was placed into custody on July 4 after an alleged attack left the victim temporarily unconscious and with broken bones, according to Tewksbury police.

Since a 58A Dangerousness hearing, Dokos' girlfriend Amanda Ferreria, 19, of Tewksbury and friend Fox Maxwell, 19, of Winchester have been charged with perjury in connection to the case. The DA's office alleges that both Ferreria and Maxwell testified they were present during the incident, they witnessed the incident and said that the victim was the initial aggressor in the incident.

The DA's office further alleges that both Ferreria's and Maxwell's testimony were found to be false, and that neither were present at the party.
