IRS Commissioner John Koskinen, in a public written statement said, this tax-filing season will be a difficult one for the IRS Agency. Congress voted to decrease their annual operating budget by $341 million.

At the same time the IRS is dealing with two massive new tax law implementation: Affordable Care Act/ObamaCare and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.
The IRS requested and increase in their budget to implement the ObamaCare …the got $0; however, it is tax law and the IRS is the taxing authority so they have to implement the massive ObamaCare Tax issues with zero dollars. The IRS has to make cuts in other areas to make this happen the cuts are mostly in area called “Taxpayer services”, which would explain why Internal Revenue Service Commissioner, is predicting a mere 53% of phone calls to the IRS will be answered and for the 53% that can get through on telephone they will have to wait 30 minutes or longer before someone will say hello.
