Lowell Coronavirus: Five Deaths, Over 300 Cases
As of Thursday, 29 Lowell residents have been hospitalized with the new virus.
LOWELL, MA — Five Lowell residents have died of the new coronavirus, as of Thursday, the city reported Friday. There are a total of 305 cases in the city.
Sixty Lowell residents have recovered, while 29 have been hospitalized with the new virus.
A slight majority of the Lowell cases are women. The Highlands, Centralville and Pawtucketville neighborhoods have the largest concentrations, all having over 40 cases, according to the city data report.

As of Thursday there are over 4,000 coronavirus cases in Middlesex County and almost 19,000 in Massachusetts.
