Scary Talk: Time Travel with Jeff Belanger

Author Jeff Belanger returns for his annual visit, this year exploring time travel. Could slips in time explain most paranormal occurrences? Is time travel even possible? Jeff, one of the most visible and prolific paranormal researchers today, is the author of more than a dozen books on the paranormal, including Weird Massachusetts. He’s the founder of Ghostvillage.com, host of the cable/web talk show “30 Odd Minutes,” and has served as the writer and researcher for numerous television series, including “Ghost Adventures” on the Travel Channel. Author Lesley Bannatyne will discuss her book, Halloween Nation: Behind The Scenes of America’s Fright Night. Lesley, one o the nation’s foremost authorities on Halloween, has written five books on the holiday, contributed to the World Book Encyclopedia entry for Halloween, and has appeared a commentator on the History Channel’s “Haunted History of Halloween.” Her book, which was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award, explains why Halloween is so important today, who makes and celebrates it, and why it matters. The 1st Annual Merrimack Valley Horror Author Fair will feature TEN local horror authors, all members of the New England Horror Writers organization. Each author will be given five minutes to highlight their works. After all have spoken, each will return to their table, where they will chat with audience members and sell and sign copies of their books. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. Participating authors will include: Inanna Arthen, Gordon Bean, Alyn Day, Scott Goudsward, Dan Keohane, Dale Phillips, Bracken MacLeod, Rob Smales, T. Stephens, and Vlad Vaslyn.
