Tewksbury resident scoring against cancer on April 4

Dana-Farber Rink Rats playing charity hockey game to benefit the Jimmy Fund.

Lee Whale, a Tewksbury resident, will be among the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute doctors, researchers, and staff who will play a charity hockey game against the Boston Bruins Alumni to benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber. The Dana-Farber Rink Rats’ game will be held at 1 p.m., April 4 at Veterans Memorial Rink in Somerville, Mass.

Lee is a senior graphic designer at Dana-Farber. With a professional background in hockey in Great Britain, Lee believes this is a great way to support patients and their families. He says, “This will be the smartest hockey team I have ever played on.”

Lee has committed to raise $1,000 in order to play in the April 4 game. Game tickets for spectators are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and are available online and at the door. Limited free parking is available. To support Lee or purchase advance tickets, visit www.jimmyfund.org/rinkrats.
