Tewksbury Youth Football Flag Football Divison

Weekly Recaps

Week 4 of this years Tewksbury Town Flag football Program kicked off this weekend with some “wicked awesome weather”!

Blue Pride and Green Prided met again in what proofed to be a true battle of color. Blue started out on offense and on the 1st play of the game, Luke Nazzaro took the ball the length of the field and picked up his 2nd TD of the season. On Defense, Blue Pride had some great pulls from Ryan Thomson, Nicholas Kearney and Matthew Flynn to help stop Green Pride on obtaining a 1st down and giving the ball back to Blue.

On the next series, Blue came out fast with a great run from Evan Festa and picked up another TD. This was Evan’s 1st TD this season, great job!. Blue Defense continued to stop Green with some more great pulls from Cameron Thomson and Connor Flynn.

Just before the 1st half came to an end, Blue took the passing game to the field with Mason Veits at QB and he delivered an outstanding pass to Justin Magee who picked up his 4th TD of the season. This set up Connor Flynn to get the 2pt conversion on a great run to the right side of the field.

In the 2nd half, Green came out running tough and picked up a TD on a great run that the Blue Defense could not stop. When Blue got the ball back they were not able to move it down the field and Green Offense got the ball back and they came out throwing which set up Ryan Thomson to intercept the ball and return it for 6 points (pick 6 – well done Ryan!)

As the Game was coming to an end , on the last play Blue tired the “statue of liberty” and successfully pulled it off with Nicholas Kearney as QB and Cameron Kearney coming around the back side to grab the ball and go the distance.

Great day of football, played by All!
