Representatives from Tewksbury-based non-profit organizations are invited to network at the library's Fall Community Roundtable. Attendees are encouraged to share information about their respective organization's programs, services and upcoming events and fundraisers. Attendees will receive a brief presentation on the basics of marketing for non-profits from Barbara Alveras, PMP, Principal and Founder of Sage Consulting. Attendees will also hear from a panel of Tewksbury journalists -- Your Tewksbury Today editor Bill Gilman, Lowell Sun Tewksbury reporter Emma Murphy, and Tewksbury Town Crier reporter Paige Impink -- on how non-profits can best leverage the local media to help amplify their messages. FRIGHT NIGHT: Wicked Salem with Sam Baltrusis

Explore the ghost lore of Salem and the people behind tragic events that turned the “Witch City” into a hot spot that has become synonymous with witches, rakes, and rogues. Led by Sam Baltrusis, author of 11 historical-based ghost books, including "Wicked Salem: Exploring Lingering Lore and Legends." Baltrusis has been featured on several national TV shows, including Destination America’s "Haunted Towns" and the Travel Channel episode on Salem. He also served as Boston’s paranormal expert on the Biography Channel’s "Haunted Encounters." Baltrusis moonlights as a tour guide and launched the successful ghost tours, "Boston Haunts" and "the Wicked Salem Tour." A book signing will follow the event for those interested. Enjoy an acoustic concert with Dyer Holiday featuring the oldies. Dyer Holiday is not your normal, run-of-the-mill acoustic act. Instead of creating original music or playing today's popular songs, they're most known for laying down the songs that you know and love, but haven't heard for the longest time. If you're looking to go back in time to re-visit some of your favorite classic hits, Dyer Holiday is your band! Non-Fiction Book Group: Stiff

Join us for a discussion of Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. A compelling look inside the world of forensics examines the use of human cadavers in a wide range of endeavors, including research into new surgical procedures, the testing of the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, space exploration, a Tennessee human decay research facility, and a Scandinavian funeral directors' conference on human composting. Enjoy an entertaining look at the supernatural side of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. From séances in the Crimson Room with Mary Todd Lincoln to secret alien exchange programs under Dwight Eisenhower, there’s no shortage of weird when it comes to the White House. Led by Tim Weisberg, host of "Spooky Southcoast," one of the world's leading radio programs on the paranormal. Weisberg is a writer, researcher and producer for several television programs, including “Haunted Towns,” “Ghost Asylum” and “Ghost Stalkers.” He has appeared on TV’s “Ghost Adventures,” “My Ghost Story,” and “MonsterQuest." Weisberg is the author of “Ghosts of the SouthCoast” and co-author of “Haunted Objects: Stories of Ghosts on Your Shelf.” A book signing will follow the event for those interested. Tewksbury Passport Day

Passport agents will be here to process applications, take photos, and answer any questions about applying for a passport. Check the Tewksbury Passport Day event flyer available in the library and on the library’s event calendar at www.tewksburypl.org on how to make an appointment and for a list of documents you need to bring. Advance appointments recommended, but walk-ins welcome. Please note your passport will not be provided same day. Passports are mailed to applicants directly from the U.S. State Department.
AUTHOR VISIT: Hikes Through Massachusetts History with Alison O'Leary

Alison O'Leary, an award winning journalist and co-author of "Best Day Hikes Near Boston," will share her favorite area hikes. Using maps and historic photos, O'Leary will describe more than a dozen day trip destinations with historical significance and interesting features in Eastern Massachusetts, for all levels of activity and scenic variety. Tiny Tykes Storytime

For young children ages 0 to 18 months. Older siblings are always welcome to join in! Join us for a fun session of stories, songs, fingerplays, instruments, and gentle movement that help build early literacy skills. Please note, we have 2 sessions that are the same, one is at 10:15am and the other is at 11:00am. There is no registration, HOWEVER, there is limited space in the room. Please check in at the Children's desk upon arrival to check to see if there is still room available in the session.
Preschool Storytime
