• Montague Police Logs: Aug. 24 to Aug. 30, 2026 (recorder.com) — Montague's latest police log details a busy week around Turners Falls, from loud music on Avenue A and a huge glass spill on Turners Falls Road to concerns at Turners Falls High School about an erratic driver. Residents will also see entries about park camping, minor crashes, thefts, and animal calls, offering a clear snapshot of day-to-day public safety issues. 
• Firefighters rescue injured hiker in Montague (recorder.com) — Turners Falls firefighters joined Montague Center and Amherst crews Sunday to rescue a hiker with a serious lower leg injury behind a Dry Hill Road home, carrying him over steep, slippery terrain. Additional Turners Falls personnel and a regional technical rescue team were called in, while Greenfield and Bernardston departments covered local stations to maintain fire protection for Turners Falls residents.
