WAKEFIELD, Ma. — This Sunday, March 13, at 10:30 am, Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Adam Rodgers will share his vision for the Club at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield.
Adam will discuss the role of the Boys & Girls Club in Wakefield and how together with other civic organizations, Wakefield can ensure all its children have great futures.
“We have a tremendous relationship with the faith communities in Stoneham and Wakefield. They’ve helped us locate families who may need our services as well as encouraged their congregation to donate their time, talent, and treasure to the Club.”
This relationship with faith communities is not new, as some of the earliest supporters of bringing the Club to Wakefield were leaders of the numerous faith organizations in town.
“As a church with strong social justice values we welcome the opportunity to reach out to the Wakefield community and support the mission of the Boys & Girls Club. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield is located at 326 Main Street, services begin at 10:30am and we invite the community to join us for coffee after the service.”
Adam Rodgers is a Wakefield native, he started his career at the Wakefield YMCA. Most recently he worked as a Camp and Teen Director at the Marblehead Y.
In June of 2015, he came back home where he was hired as Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham and Wakefield. He has implemented his strategic vision focusing on building a new teen center, expanding programs, and bringing together multiple non-profits to serve our youth.
Adam is recognized as a rising star in the field of youth development. His strong sense of social justice stems from various work he has done in Eastern Europe and Southern Africa.
Come hear Adam speak on Sunday, at 10:30 am.
