Candidates Invited to WCAT’s Election Night Live Cablecast

Tuesday is town election in Wakefield, as well as special primary election.

The following was provided by Wakefield Community Access Television:

Once the polls have closed on Tuesday’s annual town election and the U.S. Senate primary election, WCAT will be cablecasting their live Election Night program from Studio A beginning at 8.30 pm. All the candidates running for office are invited to come down to WCAT’s facilities and join in the program.

“Based on the questions posed to the candidates for School Committee and the Board of Selectmen in their respective debates four weeks ago, a lot of issues and ideas have been discussed in these two races in particular,” said Producer David Watts, Jr., “We are looking forward to some lively conversation with the candidates, win or lose, on the races, on local issues, and on the upcoming Annual Town Meeting.”

This year’s edition of this perennial post-election program is being anchored by Nancy Santapaola. Bill Carroll is being joined on the commentators’ set by Melanie Head. In addition to discussing the races and the issues raised, they will also be interviewing any and all candidates who wish to participate.

As soon as Town Clerk Mary K. Galvin releases the unofficial results of both elections, WCAT will announce the results on the program. As has been the custom for the last few years, printed copies of the results, as received, will also be made available to candidates and their staffs.
