Beware book lovers! Want to prepare for your summer pleasure reading? Frustrated because you are waiting on a list for your favorite authors? Craving some new authors to spend your time with on the beach—or by the lake? Why should the kids have all the fun? Beebe librarians have some terrific book suggestions for adult readers.
Join us on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 6:30 pm to 8:00pm or on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 10:30am to 12pm in the Beebe Library’s Lecture Hall for an informative and entertaining take on what to read this summer. We will provide you with book talks, laughter, light refreshments and a list of reading possibilities.
We are going to talk about adult fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as suggest readalikes for those popular authors like Janet Evanovich (Smokin’ Seventeendue June 21) so you can meet some new characters while awaiting your turn with a copy of this year’s Plum hilarity.

You will hear about mystery, suspense, adventure, historical, romance, and fantasy titles, as well as literary fiction, and some novels that defy category. Love baseball books? We’ll cover that base and, in addition, we shall introduce some new nonfiction authors to your reading roster. Enjoy Armchair Travel?
