Featuring Wakefield vocal all stars John Erban, Joseph Holmes and Holly Zagaria, all accompanied by a professional orchestra, Candlelight Christmas II presents much of the best-loved music from last year's concert. Vocals include Messiah excerpts, Joseph Holmes' world-class rendition of The Lord's Prayer, and Holly Zagaria singing O Holy Night.
The orchestra itself will resurrect several of last year hits, including Jesu Joy, Holiday for Strings and Sleigh Ride. With soprano Maddie Sifantus, the vocal quartet will serenade with holiday favorites, White Christmas and the Hallelujah Chorus.
New offerings include the premiere of an arrangement of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah sung by John Erban, an instrumental version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and a holiday carol sing-along. For a change of pace, in the second half Leigh Barrett will offer her inimitable combination of poignancy, insight and humor with a set of her own.
Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors 65+ and students.
