Holiday Shop Offered Through Civic Center

[Editor's Note: Courtesy of Wakefield's Americal Civic Center]

In this difficult economy, many families find themselves in a position of wondering how they will provide holiday gifts for their children. To help these families, Wakefield runs a Holiday Shop for three days at the Civic Center.

The only requirement for using the holiday shop is that you are a Wakefield resident and that you shop only for your own children. You will be asked to present identification to confirm that you are a current Wakefield resident (a recent electric bill in your name or a similar document) and all information is confidential.

Other than a limited number of workers, the only people in the Holiday Shop are those shopping.

The 2011 holiday shop will be open Monday, November 28, Tuesday, November 29, and Wednesday, November 30 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The shop will also be open one evening, Monday, November 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

If you are unable to make any of these hours, arrangements can be made by contacting Ann Loughlin at 781-245-7158.
