A Living Nativity will be enacted on the Wakefield Common Saturday, Dec. 10, at 5 p.m., sponsored by the First Parish Congregational Church of Wakefield, 1 Chuirch Street.
A small wooden structure has been erected near the bandstand on Wakefield Common where, starting promptly at 5 p.m., the Nativity Story will be read as costumed actors portray the people and reenact the story. Familiar Christmas carols will also be sung.

Little Folks Farm is bringing sheep, donkeys, chickens and a bunny or two to the Common to add to the Living Nativity effect. Following the reading of the story, which will take approximately a half hour, the animals will be available for petting by children of all ages.
Following the program, warm beverages and refreshments will be provided, across the parking lot from the bandstand, in the downstairs dining room of the church.

All are welcome to attend but parents, grandparents and caregivers are especially encouraged to bring the children to engage in the reason for the season. This is a free, non-denominational event. Any questions, please call the church office at 781-245-1539.
