Open Space and Trails Forum

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) invites Wakefield residents to attend a forum on open space and trails. 

Local government and non-profit organization leaders will speak about "the Community Preservation Act, municipal tools for acquiring open space, collaboration across city and town borders, and resources for trail management," according to a press release from MAPC.

MAPC is the regional planning agency for the people who live and work in the 101 cities and towns of Metropolitan Boston. A public agency, MAPC’s mission is to promote smart growth and regional collaboration.

The forum is free and open to the public. Officials from conservation commissions, watershed organizations, land trusts, open space, bike and trail groups are especially encouraged to attend.
