Poetry & Pizza @ the Library

Beebe Library invites everyone to read and discuss seven poems by seven poets with deep ties to Massachusetts on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. while dining on pizza provided by the library.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Beebe Library is participating in “Common Threads: Seven Poets and a Wealth of Readers,” a program sponsored by Mass Poetry that aims to have 10,000 Massachusetts citizens reading seven poems by seven poets who work currently or have worked in Massachusetts.

“Common Threads” connects seven poets who have written, lived or worked in Massachusetts to thousands of people in libraries, homes, schools, senior centers and other settings – all reading and discussing the same poems.

Those who would like to participate in the April 27 Poetry and Pizza event are asked to sign up at the Reference Desk, by phone at 781-246-6334, x2 or email@wakefieldlibrary.org. Plan to pick up your free “Common Threads” poetry packet containing all the poems at the Reference Desk prior to the event.
