Rise Up Singing

Join in with friends and neighbors in community singing in the Social Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield on the third Friday of the month. Rise Up Singing is a sort of “round robin” singing circle, inspired by but not limited to the Rise Up Singing book. Singers and instrumentalists of all ages are welcome to this informal and spirited evening of shared music making. Participants come from our congregation, Reading, Stoneham, Melrose and beyond. Bring your singing and picking friends. Songs of all genres are welcome, whether or not they are among the 1200 songs included in the book. No music reading ability is needed. Bring a copy of Rise Up Singing if you have one.  Some copies will be available for those who don’t have their own, with thanks to the Wakefield Cultural Council. Free Will Offering. We encourage you to bring a non-perishable food item or a reusable grocery bag for the food pantry. For more information, call Reverend Maddie at her home office: 508-358-7091, email her at minister@wakefielduu.org or leave a message on the church answering machine (781-245-4632).
