Sabor y Memoria (Flavor and
Memory). This is a program for all your senses with song, visuals, and
Latin-American American themed food provided by Whole Foods.
With diverse rhythms from Latin America and the Caribbean, Brian and Rosi Amador, of the group Sol y Canto, will present a musical and multi-media program about food and its relation to cultural identity and nostalgia for our cultural homes. Sol y Canto’s composer-guitarist Brian Amador, singer-percussionist Rosi Amador and
photographer Jon Chomitz will explore the way music and food trigger our memories, express our roots and tie us to our origins.
This program is free and will take place in the Lecture Hall. Children age 10 and over welcome.
