See a new comedy by Larry Shue at Reading's Quannapowitt Players community theater.
From the theater:
In this fish-out-of-water farce, a painfully shy Englishman Charlie Baker must spend three days in rural Georgia. When townsfolk start believing he doesn’t speak English, he unexpectedly becomes privy to all kinds of secret exchanges among the locals, including a spoiled debutante, a scheming preacher and an ambitious Klansman. Charlie realizes not all is as it seems and he may be the only one who can save the day… but first he’ll have to overcome his “language barrier.”
