WMHS Drama Club presents "The Laramie Project"

Join the Drama Club for their production of The Laramie Project February 10 - 12 in the new theater at Wakefield Memorial High School.  Thursday and Friday evening performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday's performance is a 1:00 p.m. matinee.  Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for adults.

This powerful drama explores the consciousness of the town of Laramie, Wyoming in the aftermath of the murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay college student.  The play is a moving portrayal of the real people whose lives were affected by a hate crime that shocked our nation in 1998 and catapulted a small town into the harsh glare of the national media spotlight.

The Drama Club's performance will feature 35 WHS students and four faculty members.
