An Evening of Song to benefit Ellie Fund

Charity concert, Breast Cancer, Ellie Fund

What began as an effort to help a phenomenal charity took a very personal turn. Five years ago Sisters In Song was founded by Somerville resident, Jeff Pietrantoni, who was looking for a way to use his God-given talents to help those in need. Jeff along with Mary Anne Spartos of Lynn, and Stacy Arambages of Wakefield, organized a small group of singers called "Sisters in Song" that would perform and donate 100% of their proceeds to an extraordinary charity called ELLIE FUND, based in Needham. The ELLIE FUND provides critical support services free of charge to breast cancer patients and their families in the Massachusetts area. These services include transportation to & from treatment appointments, grocery shopping, housekeeping, childcare & prepared meals.

Several months after donating several thousands in proceeds from their 1st shows in October 2011, Stacy was diagnosed in 2012 with breast cancer. Little did she know the charity she worked so hard for would now serve her needs as she was going thru surgery, chemo and radiation. She has never forgotten the feeling of relief she experienced when she applied for and received assistance from Ellie later that same year. As soon as she was strong enough, she, Mary Anne and Jeff began to organize the 2nd fundraising event in 2013 to help other women who were going thru the same ordeal. Five years later, Sisters In Song will be performing their fifth annual concert series titled “A Beautiful Pair5 – Words of Love”.

They will be performing musical numbers from Broadway, TV and the Movies. Come and be inspired by these gifted musicians. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Com or at the door of each venue.
