Event Spotlight: Classical Chinese Dance Presentation at the Beebe Library

The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library will host a presentation on dramatic classical Chinese dance today from 2 to 3 p.m. at the library.

 Based in New York, Shen Yun Performing Arts is one of the world’s premier classical Chinese dance companies. They are booked for four shows this month at the Boston Opera House. But on Saturday at the Beebe you can get a free glimpse of this extraordinary show. Through a slide presentation, see how Shen Yun presents classic tales and legends in a breathtaking blend of impeccable choreography, gorgeous costumes, animated backdrops and original music played by Western and Chinese instruments.
