The Spring season is about to begin. Tryouts are being held. Everyone is ready to play. But are they?
One of the most important things an athlete must do for safety and performance is recover from any previous sport. So, if you played hockey in the winter and are now getting ready to play baseball, you must recover from your winter sport.
This year that recovery time is even shorter due to the tough winter and school closings, etc. Traditionally, there should be several weeks of rest, easy stretching and good nutrition. That's not going to happen this year and athles are going to be prone to injuries and poor performance.
There is one good thing you can do to make up for the lack of time...get a sports massage.
A sports massage will help muscles recover, improve circulation, make sure posture is good. In addition, any trigger points that could cause injury and poor performance can be eliminated. Once your muscles are relaxed and well nourished, the past season will be...well, just in the past and you will be ready for baseball, track and field, softball, lacrosse and more.
Sessions are available ($20.00). Call me at 781-718-3233 or emailo me at doc@chap.com
