Here are some highlights from the Wakefield Fire Department's February report.

WAKEFIELD, MA—Wakefield firefighters responded to 347 emergency incidents in the month of February, 47 of which were box alarms and 300 were still alarms. Here are the highlights.
Lakeside Inn: The first multiple-alarm fire of the year was reported at the Lakeside Inn. The fire was caused by a plumbing torch used while plumbers working in the building were soldering pipe. The fire started in the walls of a room on the first floor, and extended to the second floor adjacent rooms. One was injured during the incident.
4 Marion Circle: Firefighters responded to a chimney fire at 4 marion circle on Feb. 24. No one was injured and the occupant was permitted to return to the home.

Wakefield Firefighters responded to at least 25 reports of burst pipes during the weekend of Feb. 14.
There were 207 motor vehicle accident responses, 43 accidental alarms, and two structural fires. There were also 11 carbon monoxide alarm investigations.

There were also 27 compliance inspections conducted by fire prevention officers.
