Liberty pet food drive exceeds goal of 250 for 250th

Liberty Chevrolet has been a stalwart supporter over the years of PAWS, the local animal rescue and welfare organization founded in Wakefield and serving the north of Boston. During August and early September, Liberty sponsored a pet food drive for the PAWS Pet Food Pantry, with the goal of gathering at least 250 donated items in celebration of America's 250th Birthday. They are pleased to announce that not only did they reach that goal, they handily surpassed it, due to the generous contributions of their customers, their employees and the public. PAWS President Robin Gorfine (red t-shirt) was on hand to thank, congratulate and receive the donated food items from representatives of Liberty Chevrolet, who included (shown left to right) CFO Joseph Robert, General Manager James Atkins, Executive Assistant Malia Alves, Vice President Sean VanPraet and two precious canines, Max and Zeus. PAWS is very grateful to Liberty Chevrolet, which has regularly hosted donation drives. The PAWS Pet Food Pantry is located at 411 Lowell Street in Wakefield and is open on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 5 pm.
