Nicholas W. Kefalas Joins The Savings Bank as Vice President - Commercial Banking Officer
Nicholas W. Kefalas has joined The Savings Bank’s Commercial Banking Group as Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer. He has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry, including working in Commercial Real Estate, C&I, construction lending, business development, portfolio management, and credit analysis. Nick will be in The Savings Bank’s Main Office in Wakefield at 357 Main Street.
Prior to joining The Savings Bank, Nick was associated with StonehamBank as a Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer, responsible for new business development and the management of a $20 million commercial loan portfolio in a territory that included Boston and the North and Metro West areas. In 2016, he generated and closed $10 million in commercial loans.
In addition to StonehamBank, Nick has also worked with Reading Co-operative Bank as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. He has also been employed by several other local banking and financial institutions including MutualOne Bank (formerly Framingham Co-operative Bank), Citizens Bank and Fleet Bank.

Nick received his Bachelor’s degree from North Adams State College. He is a graduate of Fleet Bank’s Commercial Credit Lending Training Program, and he received his Commercial Lending Certification from the New England College of Finance.
His professional and civic affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors of the Billerica Alliance, and as a member of the Billerica Rotary Club, Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce, North Suburban Chamber of Commerce, the Northeast Builders and Remodelers Association, and the Yankee Doodle Committee of Billerica.
