Nomination Papers Available For Town Of Wakefield Election
Those interested in running for an elected position can obtain their nomination papers from the town.

WAKEFIELD, MA — Wakefield’s Annual Town Election will take place on April 22, 2025. Those interested in running for an elected position can obtain their nomination papers at the Office of the Town Clerk in Town Hall, located at 1 Lafayette Street. The last day to file is March 4, 2025; the last day to withdraw or object is March 20, 2025.

- •Town Council: Three (3) three-year terms
- •Board of Assessors: One (1) three-year term
- •Constable: One (1) three-year term
- •Board of Health: One (1) three-year term
- •Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Commissioner: Two (2) three-year terms
- •Town Treasurer: One (1) three-year term
- •School Committee: Three (3) three-year terms
- •Library Trustee: Three (3) three-year terms
- Planning Board: One (1) five-year term
Candidates should familiarize themselves with campaign-finance filing laws (MGL.C55). The first filing date is April 14, 2025; the second is May 2, 2025.
