Police Make Another Massage Parlor Arrest

Last Thursday's arrest of Wan Li Cheung was the third in a week.

Police made another arrest at a local massage business last Thursday, August 6.

The arrest comes less than a week after two women were arrested on Friday, July 31 at separate businesses on Water Street.

The latest arrest happened much like the previous two.

An undercover detective went into Wendy’s Spa on Delcarmine Street around 2 p.m. on August 6, according to Deputy Police Chief Craig Calabrese.

When Wan Li Cheung offered to perform a sex act, she was arrested and charged with sexual conduct for a fee. Cheung, 49, lives in Boston.

The issue of sex acts being offered for a fee has been an ongoing issue at massage parlors and spas throughout the region, according to Town Administrator Stephen Maio.

The town’s Board of Health is looking at ways to strengthen regulations for massage businesses in the town.
