Hi everyone!
My name is Rosie Conway and I am a life long resident of Wakefield MA. I am currently preparing to embark on a 2 week cultural immersion volunteer project, with placements in Cusco Peru and the Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca.
While in Cusco, my first placement will be at a medical clinic, fully staffed by volunteers, performing phlebotomy, administrative tasks and taking vital signs. In addition, I will be working at a local orphanage where the children are classified as "social orphans," meaning their biological families are alive but unable or unwilling to provide for them. While at the Floating Islands, I will be assisting with maintenance of households and boats.
My goal: To make a small but impactful difference in the communities I will be supporting.
My purpose: To help promote kindness...it is that simple :)
I am reaching out in hopes to receive support from members of my community. Below you will find my fundraising page. No amount is too small and I greatly appreciate any contribution that can be made! In addition to monetary donations, I will be collecting items to bring- books, school supplies, first aid kit materials, and hygiene products.
