The Savings Bank recently presented a donation to the Greenwood School for the Greenwood Community Garden

The Savings Bank recently presented a donation to the Greenwood School for the Greenwood Community Garden which provides students with an opportunity to learn about gardening, produce and giving back to the community. The Savings Bank donation will also enable the school to create sensory space for the students to use for science, fine arts and other educational purposes.
Representatives from The Savings Bank, including Bruce Donovan, (back row, center), Vice President – Branch Administration; Ally Houghton, (back row, second from right), Marketing Coordinator; and Geri Rowe, (back row, right), Manager of the Greenwood Office; presented the donation to parent coordinators and Greenwood School fourth grade students during a recent visit to the school.

Introduced in 2016, the program is part of the grade three curriculum at the school. The current fourth grade class participated in the community garden last year and donated fresh produce to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry, along with other Greenwood School families.
