WAKEFIELD, MA—Wakefield voters have hit the polls Tuesday and made their voice heard regarding who they would like to see as their next presidential candidates in the Republican and Democratic parties.
According to the unofficial results from the Wakefield Clerk’s Office, New York Businessman Donald Trump earned the most votes for Republican nominee, while Hillary Clinton took the prize in the Democratic race in Wakefield. The unofficial results of the March 1 election are as follows:
DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE:
Hillary Clinton-2,651 votes (49.69 percent)

Bernie Sanders-2,558 votes, (47.95 percent)
REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE:
Donald Trump-2,064 votes (53.55 percent

Ben Carson-67 votes (1.74 percent)
