Thanks To Friday's Win, Wakefield Escapes Playoff Game Against Melrose

The good news is that thanks to an impressive win over Watertown Friday, Wakefield moved into the No. 7 slot in the Division 4 North ratings and won't have to face Thanksgiving rival Melrose in the first round.

But the bad news is a matchup with unbeaten Marblehead. No one said this would be easy.

Wakefield finished 3-4 with wins over Winchester, Burlington and most recently the Raiders Friday. One year after losing in the Super Bowl to Falmouth, Marblehead finished 7-0.
