TSF Scholarship Applications - Now Available

Applications for need-based scholarships from The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield (TSF) for the 2017-2018 academic year are now available to be downloaded from the TSF website www.tsfofwakefield.org. Applications are also available at the WHS Guidance Office, at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library Career Room, and in the Lobby of the Americal Civic Center. Applications are also available in the Guidance Offices of Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School, Nazareth Academy, Malden Catholic High School, Bishop Fenwick High School, St. John’s Preparatory School, Austin Preparatory School, Boston College High School, and Pope John XXIII High School.

Any person, regardless of age, who is a resident of Wakefield and a full time student, is eligible to apply. Current recipients of scholarship awards must reapply in order to be considered again. Completed applications along with 2017 FAFSA confirmation sheets are due at the TSF of Wakefield Office no later than March 31, 2017.

Residents of any age are encouraged to submit an application by the deadline. TSF cannot guarantee that late applicants who are financially eligible will be accommodated.

In 2016, TSF of Wakefield awarded $500,000 to Wakefield students. The recipients attended a variety of schools including traditional four-year colleges and universities, two-year community and private colleges, and graduate education programs.

The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield was founded in 1960. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to needy residents of Wakefield in their full time pursuit of higher education.
