Wakefield Absentee Ballots Available

Wakefield's town election, as well as the special Senate primary election, are April 30th.

The following is an announcement from the office of Wakefield Town Clerk Mary Galvin:

Wakefield Annual Town Election  Absentee ballots are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office  for any registered voter who will be unable to vote at the polls on Tuesday, April 30, 2013  due to:

  1. absence from the town during normal polling hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  1. physical disability preventing the voter from going to the polling place; or
  1. religious belief

State Primary Absentee Ballots are also available for Unenrolled, Democratic or Republican voters only due to State Primary rules.

The deadline to receive an application to vote absentee, which is a prerequisite,  is 12:00 noon on Monday, April 29, 2013.

Private voting booths are available adjacent to the office.

The deadline to register to vote in this election and at the May 6, 2013 Annual Town Meeting  is Wednesday, April 10, 2013 when the Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
