Wakefield Officer Participates In White Ribbon Campaign

Program part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, aims to end male violence against women and girls.

A release from the Wakefield Police Department and Chief Richard Smith:

Officer Amy Toothaker worked diligently throughout the month of March to spread education and awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. She was actively involved in the White Ribbon Campaign, which is a global movement of men and boys working to end male violence against women and girls, and to raise awareness about gender-based violence. Men and boys take a pledge to be part of the solution in ending violence against women and all gender based violence.

On March 24th, Officers Shane Pelletier and Kelley Tobyne gave a safety talk to the children at Pedro's Judo Center on New Salem Street. Officer Dave Rando and K-9 Dozer also paid a visit and conducted a demonstration for the children. This event was a well-attended event that received great reviews.
