Walk of Remembrance pavers at World War II Memorial available for Memorial Day
Individuals and families who would like to sponsor a paver on the Veterans’ Walk of Remembrance on Wakefield’s Veterans’ Memorial Common are reminded that they should contact Eric Sherman at the Wakefield Department of Public Works by March 15th, if they would like to have the paver in place before Memorial Day. The Walk of Remembrance is part of the World War II Memorial that was officially dedicated on November 11, 2011.
The paver can be contributed in honor of, or in memory of, any veteran who has served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. The individual does not have to be a resident of Wakefield.
Pavers can be sponsored with a contribution of $500.00 for a 12” x 12” paver or $300.00 for a 6” x 12” paver.
