Writers' Critique Group Meeting at The Room to Write

Join us for our first writers' critique group meeting and help shape the type of group you would like to be part of.

Adult writers at all levels and of all genres are welcome to join us for the very first Writers’ Critique Group meeting on Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 pm. This meeting is organized by The Room to Write and will be held in the Teen Room at the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield (ground floor of the Civic Center) at 467 Main Street, Wakefield MA.

Nervous about participating and have not yet submitted a writing sample? No worries. This is our first meeting and we will talk about what type of critique group writers would like to participate in and go over some ground rules in order to critique writing constructively while paying due respect to the writer and the work. We are not an intimidating group and hope to create a place where writers feel safe to share their craft and improve upon it in a supportive environment.

Writers at every level are welcome and if you have experience with a critique group we welcome your input regarding best practices and pitfalls. The Writers' Critique Group will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield. Please contact Colleen Getty at colleen@theroomtowrite.com with questions or to express interest.
