The Autism Empowerment Gala is an annual celebration to raise critical funds for League School for Autism and honor individuals and organizations who have helped "champion" the work done at our school. The evening includes a cocktail hour with Silent Auction and Mystery Boxes, a dinner program with Live Auction and Fund-A-Need, and an awards presentation. Funds raised during the event go directly to the Autism Empowerment Fund to create an individualized curriculum for each student based on their strengths and prepare them for a fulfilling life in a neurodiverse world.

Walpole Children’s Theatre, Inc. (WCT) is proud to present Sleeping Beauty July 17th through 25th for eight performances held at the Walpole Footlighters Playhouse on 2 Scout Rd in East Walpole
When the whole kingdom gathers at the palace to celebrate the royal christening of Princess Carol, the King and Queen welcome many guests that bestow generous gifts upon the princess.&nbsp; One unwelcome guest, the Wicked Godmother, appears and places a curse on the Princess. She announces that on the Princess' 16th birthday, Carol will prick her finger and the entire kingdom will fall into a deep, 100 year long sleep. Lord Chamberlain and the rest of the palace staff, along with a newly employed young boy named Simple see that all sharp objects are removed from the kingdom to protect Princess Carol from her fate. Years pass, birthdays are celebrated, and a crush blooms between Princess Carol and the now grown up Simple. The kingdom seems to be at peace until Carol’s 16th birthday when she pricks her finger and the curse becomes reality! In an effort to save the kingdom, Simple embarks on a journey to find the Wicked Godmother and put an end to her evil intentions. Through a run-in with pirates and an epic sword fight, Simple succeeds in defeating the Wicked Godmother and returns to the kingdom where he wakes Princess Carol and saves the kingdom by the power of true love's kiss.
This production is suitable for any age. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes and there will be a 15 minute intermission with cash-only concessions.
