On March 9 at 2:00pm the New England Irish Harp Orchestra
will be performing at Epiphany Parish, 62 Front Street in Walpole, MA.
(This is the concert that was originally scheduled for December 15 and
postponed due to inclement weather). The concert will be followed by an
Afternoon Tea.
NEIHO has been delighting audiences since 2005.
They perform traditional Irish tunes and original pieces sure to delight
your senses and fill your heart. The orchestra members range in age from
mid-twenties to mid-eighties and come from Maine, New Hampshire, and
Massachusetts.

The Irish harp (also known as a Celtic or folk harp) is
small to medium-sized, usually designed for traditional music, and can be
played solo or with small groups. It is prominent in Welsh, Breton,
Irish, Scottish and other Celtic cultures.

Tickets for the concert are $7.00, with all proceeds
going to benefit Mil Milagros, anon-profit organization whose mission is to
ensure that all children in Guatemala graduate from sixth grade healthy,
literate, and prepared to continue their education.
Mil Milagros works with partner schools to design and
implement strategies, including but not limited to nutrition - high-quality
nourishing meals and snacks, prepared by mothers and grandmothers who receive
on-going training, and a robust early childhood nutrition program to prevent
malnutrition; health and hygiene care; education support including text books,
school supplies, and teacher training; and leadership development among
children and their mothers and grandmothers.
